Tryout Information
What does it take to be a Star?
When you join the Shooting Stars you make a year commitment, from August 2020 to July 2021. Our team compete in local and out of area tournaments, with a dynamic winter conditioning schedule that includes several indoor game opportunities. Our team is looking for passionate girls with a positive and competitive attitude to push themselves to get better. Girls must have previous experience playing on a tournament team.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for girls who are willing to play where coach feels you benefit the team most and are willing to do what it takes to improve their hitting and fielding. At this age, we are looking for girls who will work hard and have a team (not "I") mentality. We need to see 100% effort at both practice and during games. We are looking for parents who can help support the team and provide positive support for their young player. A travel team is a year-long commitment by both the player and families. Travel players are expected to make the commitment to practice more than just the days of team practice. Utilizing facilities like SixFour3 (www.sixfour3.com/), they should be working with a trainer at least once a month to improve their skill.
